Book & Magazine Editor

LET ME HANDLE YOUR EDITING NEEDS

Since 2003, I have edited, copyedited, or proofread books, articles, blog posts, and even annual reports and legal documents for dozens of clients worldwide. Typically I go line-by-line through a manuscript to check for consistency, word choice, correct grammar, punctuation, etc., while also inserting comments where I spot problems or need to ask the writer a question.

Among the 140+ books I have edited by 100+ authors from five continents are nonfiction titles on politics, history, psychology, and the law; self-help books; many memoirs (including travel and spiritual memoirs); numerous novels and thrillers; historical fiction; several science-fiction/fantasy titles; several YA/coming-of-age novels, several children’s books; several travel-writing anthologies; an award-winning book on Greek theatre; a coffee-table art history book; and poetry collections that have won major awards. Many of the authors I have worked with are first-time authors and/or non-native-English speakers, while others are longtime professional authors.

I enjoy this work and would be happy to edit what you’ve written. I am very familiar with both Chicago and AP Style guidelines. I prefer to edit Word documents so that I can use the Track Changes tool to show all of my edits and comments, although I have also edited many Google Docs.
